From Sofia, Bulgaria I took a train to Tessaloniki, which took forever. When I got to the station I was really happy to see a nice and modern Greek train, but we faced some problems and got stuck for an hour along the track several times.

Once in Tessaloniki I had some trouble finding my hotel and then getting a room since some intruder tried to set me up, but when I tried again a few minutes later, the regular receptionist was back at his spot. The next morning I met my friends and we went to the beach in Halkidiki. In the evening we came back to Tessaloniki, toured around the city and eventually spent the night at my friend's home. The next morning we all boarded the train to Levadia.
