Coming from Osh, Kyrgyzstan, we merely got over the border into Uzbekistan and drove to Margilan, where we visited the Yodgorlik Silk Factory. Margilan is where Uzbekistan’s largest traditional silk factory is located, which is the Yodgorlik Silk Factory. It employs over 2,000 people and everything is done in the traditional manner, creating an annual output of around 250,000 square meters of highly premium silk cloth

The nearby Margilan Silk Factory employs 15,000 workers and uses modern machinery, producing around 22 million square meters per year. Margilan has been active in the industry since ancient times already.
