Apart from visiting Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupa, we also made a stop at the Pashupatinath temple on our sites-around-Kathmandu tour. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world, and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu. As non-Hindus we were not allowed to take a look at the temple. We could however observe how dead people's bodies were burned, according to regular Hindu practice. Credits go to our friend Echo for the pictures of the cremation.
