Traditional stilt house around Kampong Troch

On a daytrip from Kampot we hired a tuk-tuk for the day that took us to a couple of buddhist caves that lay scattered over the area. Young children guided us through the caves, without whom we'd honestly never made it (or at least hadn't tried) through the steep, dark, bat-inhabited caves. Too bad I saw them hand the dollar we'd given them over to a grown-up. The tuk-tuk was a great way to avoid the sun and travel in relative comfort. It was very interesting to see all the stilt houses in the countryside that are still more the standard than an exception, in comparison with brick houses, with people resting virtually all day below them in hammocks. Later we continued to Kep, a coastal village just south of Kampot.
